Miastkowo is a village in north-eastern Poland. It is in Łomża County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, and is the seat of the local district called Gmina Miastkowo. The village was first mentioned in 1413 as the home of the Miastkowski noble family. A church and parish were started in 1451 by rulers from the Masovian branch of the Polish Piast dynasty. In 1827 the village had about 270 residents. The cemetery contains graves of Polish soldiers who died in the Polish–Soviet War of 1919–1920. During World War II, Miastkowo was occupied by the Soviet Union from 1939 to 1941 and by Nazi Germany from 1941 to 1944. The German authorities ran a forced labor camp in the village, mainly for local residents. During the Holocaust, a local man named Józef Dąbkowski managed to hide and rescue nine Jews.
