West Branch Souhegan River
The West Branch Souhegan River is a short, 3.1-mile-long river in southern New Hampshire. It lies entirely in the town of New Ipswich and is a tributary of the Souhegan River, which eventually flows into the Merrimack River and the Gulf of Maine. The West Branch begins where Fox Brook and Pratt Pond Brook join, southwest of New Ipswich’s town center. It flows east through the Smithville area and ends at its junction with the South Branch of the Souhegan River, north of Gibson Four Corners. Its left-hand tributary is Stark Brook.
