Michele Plancher (1808–1888) was an Italian painter from Parma who specialized in historic, mythological, and sacred subjects. He trained at the Parma Academy of Fine Arts under Domenico Muzzi, and after Muzzi’s death he studied with Biagio Martini. His fellow students included Antonio Isac, Paolo Toschi, Giambattista Callegari, Giambattista Borghesi, Tommaso Gasparotti, and Stanislao Campana. Plancher painted for the church of San Vitale in Parma and was most active between 1815 and 1835.
