Vuosaari metro station is the eastern end of the M1 line in Helsinki. It is at ground level in the Vuosaari district and opened on 31 August 1998. The station was designed by the architecture firm Esa Piironen Oy and is located about 1.2 kilometers east of Rastila station.

In 2011, a 1.4-kilometer service rail was built from Vuosaari to Vuosaari Harbour to connect the metro with the railway network. This replaced a longer service rail that went through Viikki. The service rail is used to move heavy maintenance and construction equipment, including items for the Länsimetro project. A trial run with platform screen doors was conducted at Vuosaari, but the project faced delays due to safety and testing issues.
