Vrioni

Vrioni is an Albanian surname. The Vrioni family came from Vrioni in Berat and were among the biggest landowners in Albania, with lands around Berat and in the Myzeqe region. For generations they were beys of Berat and held important roles in the Ottoman administration. They are known for serving Ali Pasha Tepelena, and for taking part in battles in Egypt against Napoleon and in the Greek War of Independence.
