Vincent Irizarry
Vincent Irizarry (born November 12, 1959) is an American actor known for his work on daytime TV. He grew up on Long Island, New York, one of six children. His father was from Puerto Rico and his mother was the daughter of Italian immigrants from Sicily.
Irizarry began his daytime career in 1983 on Guiding Light as Brandon/Lujack Spaulding, a role paired with Beth Raines that became very popular. He was nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1985. He then played Dr. Scott Clark on Santa Barbara from 1987 to 1989. He returned to Guiding Light to play Lujack Spaulding’s twin brother Nick McHenry Spaulding from 1991 to 1996, with a cameo in 1996.
In 1997 he originated the role of Dr. David Hayward on All My Children. He also appeared on One Life to Live in 2005 during the baby-swap storyline as David until 2006. In 2007 he joined The Young and the Restless as David Chow; the 13-week contract was extended due to his popularity. In August 2008 it was announced that he would reprise David Hayward on All My Children, with regular appearances until the show ended in 2011. He later returned to the role in Prospect Park’s online reboot in 2013, which ran from April to September 2013. He also appeared in Homeland in 2013.
In August 2015 it was announced that Irizarry had joined Days of Our Lives as Deimos Kiriakis, debuting in January 2016. He left the show in February 2017 and received a Daytime Emmy nomination for his work.
He is set to appear as Bradley Belasco in the audio drama Montecito beginning April 22, 2025.
Personal life
His first child was born in May 1989. He married actress Signy Coleman in July 1989; they divorced in 1992, and their daughter was born in 1990. He married Avalon House in 1997; they have two children, and they announced a divorce in 2010.
