Vicente Sanchís
Vicente Sanchís Rosique (1947–2025) was a respected Spanish basketball referee. Born in Barcelona, he began refereeing for FIBA internationally in 1984 and became a key figure in Spanish refereeing. He officiated at the Olympics, World Cups, EuroBasket and European club competitions. He was inducted into the Spanish Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023. Sanchís died in Santiago de Compostela on 3 September 2025 at the age of 77.
