Viaplay Group AB, formerly Nordic Entertainment Group (NENT Group), is a Swedish media and entertainment company based in Stockholm. It runs the streaming service Viaplay, free TV channels in Scandinavia (such as TV3, TV6, TV8 and TV10), and Viaplay Studios, a production company. It also operates Viaplay Select, a branded content service for partner platforms, and the Allente pay‑TV distributor (a joint venture with Canal+ and PPF).

The company was created in 2018 as a spin-off from Modern Times Group (MTG) and began trading on Nasdaq Stockholm on March 28, 2019. In 2022 the business changed its name to Viaplay Group. The two largest shareholders are Canal+ and PPF, each owning about 29%.

Viaplay Group has grown by expanding into many new markets. It launched Viaplay in the Nordic and Baltic regions early on and moved to wider Europe and beyond, including the Netherlands in 2022, the United Kingdom in late 2022, Poland in 2021, and the United States and Canada in 2023. Viaplay Studios, previously MTG Studios and NENT Studios, was renamed Viaplay Studios in 2021 to focus on producing content for Viaplay. Viaplay Select, the branded content service, rolled out to many markets within a year.

In recent years, Viaplay Group made several notable moves. It bought Premier Sports in the UK in 2022 for about $36 million, then sold it back to SSBL Limited in 2023. Canal+ increased its stake to 29% in 2024 and announced plans to raise funds to reduce debt. The company also expanded its streaming footprint with ongoing international launches and increased emphasis on original and exclusive Viaplay content.

Financially, Viaplay Group reported around SEK 12 billion in revenue for 2020, with operating income about SEK 3.2 billion and net income around SEK 2.2 billion. The group employed roughly 1,700 people that year.
