Ventura Raceway
Ventura Raceway is a 1/5-mile high-banked clay oval at the Ventura County Fairgrounds in Ventura, California. It hosts weekly dirt-track racing with wingless sprint cars, midgets, dwarf cars, stock cars, modifieds, sport compacts, and go-karts. The track is owned and operated by Jim Naylor and is home to Cory Kruseman’s Sprint Car Driving School and the Ventura Racing Association sprint cars.
The fairgrounds have a long racing history, with previous tracks including a 1/2-mile dirt oval in the 1920s and a 1/10-mile dirt oval from 1978 to 1984. The current 1/5-mile oval opened in 1985. In the 1990s and 2000s, motocross racing was held on infield tracks, and the venue also hosted motorcycle speedway, including the 1994 American final. A 1/5-mile dirt figure-8 was added in 2000. The track has also been known as Seaside Park Speedway.
Jim Naylor was inducted into the Ventura County Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. Since 2016, Ventura Raceway has hosted the Turkey Night Grand Prix, a prestigious dirt track event attracting top drivers from around the world. Past winners include Billy Boat, Kyle Larson (2016, 2019, 2023), Christopher Bell (2017, 2018), Logan Seavey (2021), Justin Grant (2022), and Corey Day (2024, 2025). Beginning in 2023, American Flat Track has also held spring races at the venue.
