Aereogramme were a Scottish band from Glasgow, formed in 1998. The members were Craig B. (vocals, guitar), Iain Cook (guitar, programming), Campbell McNeil (bass) and Martin Scott (drums). They played alternative rock with post-rock influences and released four studio albums before splitting in 2007.

They began with two 7" singles in 1999, then signed to Chemikal Underground in 2000. After releasing two EPs, their first full album, A Story in White, appeared in 2001, followed by Sleep and Release in 2003. They then moved to Undergroove for Seclusion and later re-signed with Chemikal Underground in August 2006. Their fourth album, My Heart Has a Wish That You Would Not Go, was released in Japan in October 2006 and in Europe and the United States in January 2007; the title comes from the novel The Exorcist.

A long delay between releases happened partly because Craig B. lost his singing voice for six months. He later explained that years of screaming, whisky and smoking took a toll, and recovery took time.

In May 2007 the band announced they were disbanding, saying they were worn down by financial struggles and changing musical trends. Their last show was at the Connect Music Festival in Inverary on 31 August 2007. Afterward, members pursued new projects. Iain Cook and Craig B. formed The Unwinding Hours, releasing an album in 2010. Craig B. issued solo work as A Mote of Dust and as Slovenly Hooks. In 2011 Cook formed Chvrches with Martin Doherty and Lauren Mayberry, and he also worked with The Twilight Sad on their 2008 mini-album Here, It Never Snowed. Martin Scott became a tour manager for Biffy Clyro, while Campbell McNeil has worked as a tour manager for The Temper Trap and Chvrches.
