The Tuve landslide happened in Tuve, a suburb of Gothenburg, Sweden, on 30 November 1977. It destroyed 67 houses, killed nine people, injured about 60, and left around 600 residents homeless. The slide began at 16:05 local time and lasted about five to six minutes. It affected about 270,000 square meters (27 hectares) of land.

Around 600 people lived in the area, with about 200 there at the time of the landslide. Roughly 100 people needed help from rescuers. It is considered the most severe landslide in modern Swedish history. Nearly one kilometer of a nearby road was destroyed. It is estimated that 3 to 4 million cubic meters of soil moved, and the land could no longer be used for growing crops.

The total economic cost was about 140 million SEK (roughly 15 million EUR or 22 million USD). The slide was caused by heavy rain and an unstable slope. Afterwards, authorities found that many areas had been built without proper prior geotechnical investigations, leading to a decision to assess the stability of built-up areas in municipalities.
