Transdev Group S.A., trading as Transdev, is a private French company that runs public transportation services around the world. It was formed on 3 April 2011 when Veolia Transport merged with Transdev S.A. Since then, Transdev has grown to operate buses, trams, trains, metros, ferries, coaches and even cable cars in 17 countries on five continents. The company is headquartered in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris. Thierry Mallet serves as chairman and CEO. In 2022, Transdev reported revenue of about €7.7 billion and employed around 85,000 people (in 2020).

Ownership has changed since the merger. Initially, Veolia Environnement and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) owned 50% each. Veolia gradually reduced its stake, and by January 2019 the Rethmann Group held 34% while CDC held 66%. In December 2024 it was announced that Rethmann planned to raise its stake to 66% and CDC to 34%.

Transdev operates a wide range of networks across many countries. Its divisions include Transdev Australasia, Transdev Germany, Connexxion and Transdev Blazefield in Europe. In Ireland, Transdev Ireland runs Dublin’s Luas tram system. In Sweden, Transdev Sweden operates several bus and ferry services, and in North America, Transdev North America and Transdev Canada (including Voyago) manage many urban and regional networks. Transdev has also run projects like the Rabat–Salé tramway in Morocco and TransMiCable in Bogotá, Colombia.

Over the years, Transdev has sold several assets, including SNCM ferries in France, Thello trains between France and Italy, Eurolines coach services, and SuperShuttle in the United States. In 2023, Transdev completed the acquisition of First Transit, expanding its North American operations. In December 2025, Transdev began operating Câble C1, the first urban cable car line in Île-de-France.
