Eschelon Telecom
Eschelon Telecom was a U.S. telecommunications company based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It served customers in Minnesota, Colorado, California, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, and Montana. The company began in 1996 as Advanced Telecommunications, Inc., a holding company started by chairman Cliff Williams. In April 2000, the businesses were unified under the name Eschelon Telecom, Inc. In March 2007, Integra Telecom signed a definitive agreement to buy Eschelon for about $710 million in cash and to repay Eschelon's debt.
