Thondamuthur is a panchayat town in Perur taluk, Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu, India. It covers about 29.6 square kilometers and had around 11,500 people in 2011. It is the administrative center of the Thondamuthur Panchayat Union, which includes ten villages. The town has 15 wards with a chairperson elected by residents.

Thondamuthur is part of the Thondamuthur Assembly constituency and the Pollachi Lok Sabha constituency. In 2011, there were 3,320 households, with 5,572 men and 5,920 women. About 1,051 people were under six years old. About 19.8% belonged to scheduled castes and 1.7% to scheduled tribes. The town is urban, and the literacy rate was 78.2%. About 48.5% of people eligible to work were employed, mostly in farming and related jobs. Most residents are Hindu (95.3%), with Christians (1.4%) and Muslims (3.2%) making up the rest. The official language is Tamil. The area follows Indian Standard Time (UTC+5:30).
