Thomas Louis Green
Thomas Louis Green (1799–1883) was an English Catholic priest and defender of the faith. His first priestly posting was in Norwich (1828–1830), where he was a controversial preacher but refused public debates to avoid anti-Catholic riots. He later served as a chaplain to Catholic gentry, starting with Sir Thomas Clifford-Constable. After time at his old seminary in Oscott, a priory in Coventry, and two parishes in Shropshire, he became chaplain to Lord Acton in 1860. Green also wrote for Catholic journals, including the Orthodox Journal, Catholic Magazine, and the True Tablet.
