North Star (Curved Air album)

North Star is the seventh studio album by Curved Air, released on 17 March 2014. It is their first album of mostly new material since the band reformed in 2008. After reforming, they released Reborn (2008, mostly new recordings with two new tracks), Retrospective (2010, a best-of collection) and Live Atmosphere (2012, a live album). Guitarist Kit Morgan is credited as a co-writer on seven new songs, but he left during recording and was replaced by Kirby Gregory. The album includes three re-recorded songs from Curved Air’s first two albums, one track from Sonja Kristina’s solo work, and three cover songs. All tracks are credited to Harris, Kristina, Morgan, Norton, Pilkington-Miksa, Sax unless noted otherwise.

North Star was recorded at Ilkatron Studios and produced by Curved Air and Beric Wickens. It runs 75:54 and is categorized as progressive rock and folk rock. It was released by Curved Air, following their 1976 album Airborne.
