The Woman in Room 13
The Woman in Room 13 is a 1920 American silent mystery drama directed by Frank Lloyd. It is a lost film produced and distributed by Goldwyn Pictures and is based on a Broadway play of the same name. The story follows Laura Bruce, who, after a troubled first marriage, marries Paul Ramsey—the man she loves. Paul’s boss, Dick Turner, who loves Laura, sends Paul away on a business trip. A murder occurs, and detective John Bruce tries to blame Paul for the crime. When he cannot, Laura and Paul end up with a happy ending. The film stars Pauline Frederick as Laura Bruce, with Paul Ramsey played by Bowers, Dick Turner by McKim, and Detective John Bruce by Clary. The movie was later remade in 1932 as a talkie by Fox.
