Stromberg hill fort near Ripsdorf in Blankenheim, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany sits on the Stromberg hill (about 559 m above sea level). The almost circular rampart encloses a plateau and is about 215 m across east–west and 240 m north–south, with sandstone and basalt banks that were uncovered when the Rhenish State Museum Bonn took responsibility for area monuments in 1979. The site may have been a Celtic refuge fort. About 145 m to the north is an artificial hill with a moat, which some researchers think could be a medieval motte-and-bailey castle based on its size. Nearby relics include remains of former ore mines. The location is at 50°23′39″N 6°38′12″E, on the North Eifel hillside and near the Schaafbach stream.
