The Right Touch
The Right Touch is the tenth studio album by American pianist and arranger Duke Pearson. It features performances recorded on September 13, 1967, at Van Gelder Studio in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and was released by Blue Note in 1968 (BST 84267). The jazz album lasts 37 minutes and 44 seconds and was produced by Francis Wolff. In Pearson’s discography it comes after Sweet Honey Bee (1966) and before Introducing Duke Pearson’s Big Band (1967). AllMusic’s Scott Yanow gave it 5 stars, calling it one of Pearson’s finest recordings.
