The Psychopathology of Everyday Life (album)
The Psychopathology of Everyday Life is the eighth studio album by avant-garde band King Missile. It was released on January 21, 2003, via Instinct Records. The title references Sigmund Freud’s 1901 book, and the cover features a mock Parental Advisory label that reads, "Warning: Contains lots of curses: Do not buy!"
The album received a 4 out of 5 stars from AllMusic’s Johnny Loftus, who highlighted tracks like "JLH" and "Eating People" for showcasing Hall’s provocative style. All lyrics are by John S. Hall, and the music is by Bradford Reed, Charles Curtis, Sasha Forte, and Hall, with "Jesus Was Way Cool" by Chris Xefos. It sits in King Missile’s discography after Failure (1998) and before Royal Lunch (2004). Production and design are credited to King Missile.
