The Last of Us is a 2016 Tunisian drama film directed by Ala Eddine Slim. It was Tunisia’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 90th Academy Awards, but it did not receive a nomination.
Plot
A man named N travels from the Sub-Saharan desert toward Europe. Lost in a mysterious forest, he meets a silent old man. They ride in the back of a smuggler’s truck and are soon attacked by armed men. One of the attackers escapes to the sea. The survivor finds himself in an endless forest, where a spiritual journey begins.
