The Collection is a compilation album by Welsh singer Shakin' Stevens, released on 1 April 2005. It includes songs recorded from 1979 to 1992, runs 78 minutes and 10 seconds, and was issued by Epic Sony BMG. The album reached number 4 on the UK Albums Chart.
A live performance DVD was released with the CD in Europe and was only available in the UK as an import. In May 2005, a separate DVD called The DVD Collection was released, featuring 27 songs and bonus material.
Critical reception was positive: AllMusic’s Thom Jurek called it a “dynamite find” and praised its comprehensive coverage of Stevens’ career. BBC Wales Music’s Joe Goodden called it a definitive collection of Stevens’ hits and suggested it could revive his popularity in Wales.
