The Climate of Courage is a 1956 Australian radio play adapted from Jon Cleary's novel The Climate of Courage. It aired as part of Harry Dearth's Playhouse and was rebroadcast in 1962. The 60-minute program was broadcast from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the home station 2UW, in English. Created by Jon Cleary (from the novel), it was adapted for radio by Richard Lane, with Harry Dearth as executive producer. Original release: 12 September 1956. Plot: During World War II, an Australian Imperial Force platoon is cut off from its battalion after a clash with the Japanese. They have to trek through the jungle to reach the coast.
