The Answers (Lacey novel)
The Answers is a 2017 novel by American author Catherine Lacey, published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. The book grew out of two short stories and features a character named Kurt Sky, who isn’t based on any particular actor. Critics praised the novel: Dwight Garner of The New York Times called it a book of smart ideas that deepens as it moves forward, and Kirkus Reviews gave it a starred review, calling it a gently surreal, deeply rewarding work. In 2022, it was announced that The Answers would be adapted into a TV series for FX. Actor David Corenswet was named to star in the pilot as Christopher Skye, described as a charismatic but troubled movie star involved in a mysterious futuristic dating experiment.
