Teri Byrne
Teri Byrne, born April 11, 1972 in Pensacola, Florida, grew up in Atlanta. She studied at Arizona State University (honors in communication) and later earned a degree from the University of Phoenix. A fitness enthusiast, she competed in various contests and worked as a model.
In 1997, she joined WCW as the Nitro Girl Fyre and stayed until 1999. She appeared on several TV shows, performed at Halloween Havoc, acted in Ready to Rumble, and posed in Penthouse with other Nitro Girls. After WCW ended in 2000, she became part of the pop group Diversity 5.
Later, Byrne built a career in higher education with the University of Phoenix. She rose from admissions counselor to Director of Admissions in Augusta, then to Regional Director of Admissions for the Southeast, and finally to Campus President in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she earned an MBA. She helped develop the Stiletto comic book in 2001 and is an animal welfare advocate. She continues to work as Campus President in Charlotte.
