Tasha Layton (born October 27, 1982) is an American contemporary Christian music singer, songwriter, and author from Pauline, South Carolina. She grew up Southern Baptist, explored different faiths, and earned a Master of Divinity from The King’s Seminary in Los Angeles. After college she moved to Nashville to pursue music, worked as a worship leader and session vocalist, and spent four years as a backing singer for Katy Perry before going solo.

She began releasing music with BEC Recordings, putting out her first single “I Belong to You” in 2018, followed by “Love Lifting Me” and the Love Running Wild EP in 2019. Her 2020 single “Into the Sea (It’s Gonna Be OK)” became a breakthrough, helping her rise among the top female Christian artists on Billboard. In 2021 she released “Look What You’ve Done” and its EP, and the song topped the Christian Airplay chart. Her debut album How Far was released in May 2022; the title track became a top-five hit on Hot Christian Songs and another single reached number one on Christian Airplay.

Layton is married to musician and producer Keith Everette Smith, and they have two children.
