The Tamaqua station is a historic former Reading Railroad train station in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. It sits at 18 North Railroad Street and is part of the Tamaqua Historic District. It’s listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The station was built in 1874 by the Philadelphia and Reading Railroad, which had acquired another local railroad company. It’s a one-story brick building designed in the Italianate style. In 1880, an addition gave the building a T shape, and in 1885 a freight house was added.

Passenger service ended in 1961, and the station was abandoned in 1981. In 1984, a local family bought the building with plans to turn it into a museum. After a $1.5 million restoration, it reopened in 2004 as a heritage center.

In 1985, the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Reading Railroad Passenger Station—Tamaqua (NRHP reference number 85003164).

In 2023, the Tamaqua station was featured on a USPS Forever stamp in a five-stamp “Railroad Stations” series.
