At the 1998 Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, the women's 4 × 200 metre freestyle relay was held on 12 September at KL Sports City. Twenty swimmers from five nations competed. Australia won with a time of 8:03.73, England finished second, and Canada finished third.
