Sulimalthe
Sulimalthe is a village in Kodagu district, Karnataka, India, about 7 km from Somwarpet on the way to Shanivarsanthe. It lies between Doddamalthe and Habbali, at about 1,027 meters above sea level. The area is known for its coffee estates and many birds, such as woodpeckers and great white egrets. The main job here is farming, especially coffee. Other crops include black pepper, cardamom, bananas, and citrus fruits like oranges, limes, and sweet limes. Silver Oak trees shade the coffee fields and are used for lumber. A rare Coorg apple also grows in Sulimalthe. Honnamana Kere (Honnamana Lake), a sacred place and tourist site, is located in the village. Most residents are Kannada speakers, with Kodava Takk, English, and Hindi also spoken.
