Hemihoplitidae
Hemihoplitidae is an extinct family of ammonoid cephalopods that lived during the early to middle Cretaceous period (about 136 to 125 million years ago). It belongs to the order Ammonitida, suborder Ancyloceratina, and the superfamily Ancyloceratoidea. Fossils have been found in Cretaceous rocks in southeastern France, Mexico, Slovakia, South Africa, and Trinidad and Tobago. The family was named by Spath in 1924.
