Studio Uno
Studio Uno is Mina’s studio album, released in March 1965 by Ri-Fi. The songs on the album were performed on her Saturday TV show Studio Uno, and the record topped the Italian charts thanks to hits such as Città vuota, È l'uomo per me, Un anno d'amore, Un buco nella sabbia, Io sono quel che sono and L'ultima occasione.
Over the years, Mina re-recorded many of these songs. In 1965 she released multilingual versions of Un anno d'amore in Spanish (Un año de amor), Turkish (Dön bana) and Japanese (Wakare). A second Spanish version appeared in 2007 for the Todavía project with flamenco singer Diego El Cigala. Other translations include:
- Tu farai → Qué harás
- È l'uomo per me → Mi hombre será
- Città vuota → Ciudad solitaria
- Io sono quel che sono → Yo soy la que soy
- Se piangi, se ridi → Si lloras, si ríes
- Un buco nella sabbia → Un hoyo en la arena
Some songs were also recorded in Japanese (Kimi ni namida to hohoemi wo) and Turkish (Mesvim bahar). In 1978 Mina recorded a disco version of Città vuota, released on CD about twenty years later on the Mina Studio Collection. The remaining songs appeared on unofficial compilations in the 1990s, such as España, mi amor..., Mina latina and Mina in the world.
