The 1921 Canton Bulldogs, owned by Ralph Hay and coached by Cap Edwards, played their home games at Lakeside Park. It was their second season in the American Professional Football Association (APFA). They finished fourth in the league with a 5–2–3 record in APFA play (8–3–3 overall). The team improved on the previous year’s 7–4–2 record, losing only two league games. In the press at the time, they were sometimes referred to as the Canton Indians.
