Stockings with Care (SWC) is a U.S. charity that helps families in need by giving Christmas gifts and essential items. They provide toys, clothing, food, diapers, books, and strollers. Donors, corporations, and volunteers buy and wrap gifts, which are delivered anonymously to parents before Christmas. Since it started, SWC has helped about 40,000 children receive presents at Christmas. SWC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers and was founded in 1992 by Rosalie Joseph and Tom Fontana. The gift drive begins in October, and 100% of the money raised goes to families in need. On November 16, 2011, SWC hosted a Celebrity Bartending Night at Hudson Station Bar and Grille to raise funds, attracting many actors and TV personalities. The event raised over $6,000.
