Stewart ministry
The Stewart Ministry was Alberta's 3rd government cabinet, led by Premier Charles Stewart. It governed from October 30, 1917, to August 13, 1921, during the 4th Alberta Legislature. The Liberal Party, which held the majority, controlled the cabinet (the Executive Council). Members of the cabinet were Liberal Party MPs and were appointed by Lieutenant Governor Robert Brett on the Premier’s advice. The monarch at the time was George V. It followed the Sifton Ministry and was followed by the Greenfield Ministry.
