Sterling Vasconcellos
Sterling Maikeli Mociu Vasconcellos (born 19 April 2005) is a Fijian football defender who plays for Bula FC. He started his senior career with Lautoka and helped them win the Fiji league. In 2024 he was named Digicel Pacific FACT Best Player of the Tournament and won the Golden Boot. His performance drew interest from clubs in New Zealand. In February 2025 he signed with Eastern Suburbs for the 2025 season. In 2026 he joined Bula FC.
Internationally, Sterling has played for Fiji since 2023, including appearances at the 2024 OFC Nations Cup. He also played for Fiji’s youth teams, including the U-20 team at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Born in Fiji and raised in Lautoka, he has American ancestry and holds an American passport; his father is from Hawaii and his mother is from Nadi. He began playing football at Dreketi Sangam School and later attended Tilak High School.
