Stein Lier-Hansen
Stein Lier-Hansen (born 9 May 1955 in Rjukan) is a Norwegian organizational director and Labour Party politician. He was the general secretary of the Norwegian Association of Hunters and Anglers from 1988 to 1993, an organization with more than 100,000 members. In 1993 he became assisting director and in 1995 director of the Norwegian Directorate for Nature Management. During Stoltenberg's first cabinet he served as State Secretary in the Ministry of the Environment, a role he held until after the 2001 elections when the cabinet fell. In 2004 he became CEO of the Federation of Norwegian Process Industries, which became the Federation of Norwegian Industries after a 2006 merger and is part of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. He succeeded Per Terje Vold.
