State forest
State forests are forests protected or managed by a government. The exact rules vary by country or region. They are often divided into areas for logging, conservation, grazing, and visitors. For example, Redwood National and State Parks in Northern California are a stretch of protected forests, beaches, and grasslands along the coast, owned by both the U.S. federal government and the State of California.
