St. Joseph High School (Connecticut)

St. Joseph High School is a private, Catholic four-year high school for boys and girls in Trumbull, Connecticut. It was founded in 1962 by the Diocese of Bridgeport and operates as a self-governing institution within the diocese. The school serves about 820 students on a 58-acre suburban campus. The colors are maroon and gold, the mascot is the Cadets, and the school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

Mass is held daily in the Alumni Chapel, and all students take Catholic religion classes for four years. The school also requires students to complete a set number of community service hours each year. The administration includes President David J. Klein and Principal Nancy DiBuono; the campus chaplain is Fr. Ferry Galbert.

Athletically, St. Joseph competes in the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC). The school offers 49 teams in 19 sports and participates in cooperative teams with Trumbull High School for swimming and diving, ice hockey, and gymnastics. Since 1975, SJ teams have won more than 100 championships. Highlights include the 2019 football team winning three different CIAC state class championships in three consecutive years, the 2021 boys golf state titles in Division III and Division II, and the 2023 girls soccer season, which went undefeated, won the FCIAC title and the state crown, and finished ranked No. 6 nationally.
