St Thomas is a suburban area in Swansea, Wales. It lies east of Swansea city centre, across the River Tawe. Fabian Way separates the old residential streets from Swansea Docks, which have been developed in the 2010s with new shops, offices and apartments.

In 2011, about 7,187 people lived in St Thomas, which includes the nearby area of Port Tennant. Local amenities include St Thomas Community Primary School (which also houses the old Margaret Street Nursery), a community centre and a library.

St Thomas is a traditional working-class area with many 2- to 3-bedroom Victorian terrace houses built for dock and industrial workers. After World War II, council housing was built there as well.

On the east bank of the River Tawe, there is a grassy area with a footpath and a cycle track (part of National Cycle Route 43). This space is used for recreation, and there are plans to build more housing there, which some residents on Kilvey Hill oppose.

Nearby areas include Kilvey Community Woodland and Port Tennant. St Thomas is the birthplace of educator Flora Forster and singer Harry Secombe.
