Alus is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and producer born January 1, 1994, in New Jersey. Music runs in her family; her grandmother played with the Violinaires, who performed with Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack. She sang in musicals as a child, began classical vocal training at age 11, and also plays piano and guitar.

Her first notable release was "Ordinary Girl," released independently and promoted on New York radio. This led to a deal with All Def Digital and a music video on their YouTube channel. She creates mash-ups and covers from her home studio, sharing them in the "Bedroom Covers" series. Her mashup of XXXTentacion's "SAD!" and The Weeknd's "Call Out My Name" earned over a million views, and Nicki Minaj reposted two of her remixes on Instagram.

Alus has performed the national anthem at Madison Square Garden for major events, including the 2018 Canelo vs. Rocky fight. In 2020 she released "52 Shades of Alus," putting out a new song each week and gathering over a million plays. In 2021 she released "Wig!" with Cakes da Killa for Pride Month, with Paper Magazine calling the video a perfect “feeling yourself” bop. In 2022 she released "Money Dance," which has over 1.5 million YouTube views. In 2023 she released "Lock In" with producer Rich Harrison. In 2024 she collaborated with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on "Outta Da Blue."

Alus is of Puerto Rican descent on her mother’s side and Russian and Austrian descent on her father’s side. She is an animal rights advocate and serves as an ambassador for the ASPCA.
