Songs of the Irish People is the debut studio album by The Longkesh Ramblers, a 1970s Irish folk band from Newry, Northern Ireland. It was released and recorded in 1974 in Dublin. The album runs 37 minutes and 47 seconds. The original cover was designed by Charlie McKeown and it was released on Clanrye Records, a self-made label. The Longkesh Ramblers would later be known as Crubeen. In their discography, Songs of the Irish People came before Crubeen (1976) and Eagle's Whistle on EMI Ireland.
