The Sobers–Tissera Trophy is a Test cricket prize contested between the West Indies and Sri Lanka. It began in the 2015–16 season and is named after two cricket greats: Sir Garfield Sobers from the West Indies and Michael Tissera from Sri Lanka. The first series, in 2015–16, was won by Sri Lanka, who took both Tests—by an innings and 6 runs in the first match and by 72 runs in the second. Since then, Sri Lanka has won two series and two have been drawn, making Sri Lanka the most successful holder with two series wins. The current holder (2021–22) is Sri Lanka, and the next edition is planned for 2026. The records for Sobers–Tissera Trophy are Shane Dowrich with 288 runs and Shannon Gabriel with 20 wickets. From now on, all West Indies–Sri Lanka bilateral tours will be named the Garfield Sobers–Michael Tissera series.
