Sir Barry Bowen Municipal Airport, also known as Belize City Municipal Airport, serves Belize City, Belize. IATA: TZA, ICAO: MZBE. It is a public airport located about one mile from the city center, closer to town than Belize City International Airport. The airport mainly serves trips to Belize’s cayes, offering faster travel than boats or water taxis.

The airport is named after Barry Bowen, a Belizean politician and entrepreneur. Maya Island Air has its head office on site, and Tropic Air operates a terminal with several daily flights. The runway is about 940 meters (3,084 feet) long and has an asphalt surface.

A modernization project began in 2012 to upgrade the airport, including extending the runway, building a new access road, adding a taxiway, and installing new lighting. The work was completed in November 2016 at a cost of 17 million Belize dollars. Belize Shuttles and Private Transfers runs regular shuttles from the airport to Placencia, San Ignacio, Hopkins, and water taxi terminals.
