Natural Gas is the only studio album by the Canadian jazz-rock group Natural Gas. It was recorded in October 1969 at RCA Studios in Montreal and released in January 1970, produced by the band’s managers Pat Jaques and Fran White and mixed in New York. The US release came before the Canadian one.

The album drew early attention, earning front-page coverage in Record World and Billboard. A January release party at Broadway Recording Studios was attended by music-industry figures, and the song “What Do You Want From My Life” gained notice.

In March 1970, Modern Tape’s John Driscoll prepared a tour to promote the LP and the single “All Powerful Man” in the Western Provinces. The album charted in Canada’s RPM100, reaching #82 (Mar 14), #66 (Apr 18), and #55 (May 16), and it also made the Top 50 in the United States.
