Shweta Pandit (born 7 July 1986) is an Indian singer and actress who works mainly in Hindi cinema. She has also sung for films in Telugu, Tamil and other Indian languages.

She comes from a musical family. As a child, she worked with composer Ilayaraja for the Tamil film Anjali, and sang in Hindi for a version of the same film. She re-dubbed for the lead child in Anjali when she was very young, making her one of Bollywood’s youngest singers. She also recorded with tabla great Ustad Zakir Hussain at age 9 for the film Saaz. Her big break came with Mohabbatein (2000) when she was 14, singing five songs for the film.

Shweta has several hit songs, including Ishq Khudai from Rudraksh, Halla Re from Neal ’n Nikki, Chorre ki baatein from Fight Club, You’re my love from Partner, Tera Sarapa from Welcome, and many others in films like Naach, Sarkar Raj, Satyagraha, Yamla Pagla Deewana, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Raja Natwarlal and Highway. Her debut pop album Main Zindagi Hoon (2002) released when she was 16, making her the youngest Indian pop star. She also released Aplam Chaplam (2005) and later remixes and ghazals for various platforms.

In 2012 she entered Tamil playback singing with composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, delivering songs for Vettai, Billa II and Aadhi Baghavan that earned her good reviews and awards. Her TV work includes Mission Ustaad (2008), a UN-supported show, and hosting Asia’s Singing Superstar in 2016 with Ahsan Khan on ZEE TV and GEO TV.

On the personal front, Shweta got engaged in Paris in 2015 and married Italian film producer Ivano Fucci in Jodhpur in July 2016; they later had a Tuscan wedding in October 2016. They welcomed their daughter Izana on 8 February 2020 in Florence, Italy, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shweta has won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer – Telugu for Kotha Bangaru Lokam (2009) for the song Nenani Neevani. She also won the Radio Mirchi Best Female Playback Singer for the Tamil hit Idhayam from Billa 2 (2012) and the MAA Award for Telugu Best Female Playback Singer for Shirdi Sai (2013) for the song Amararaama.

In 2018, Shweta spoke about an alleged harassment incident, saying that music composer Anu Malik harassed her when she was 15, and she described him as a pedophile and sexual predator in a public post.
