Shurbai and Sharhabeil

In Mandaeism, Shurbai and Sharhabeil are a husband-and-wife pair who are considered the parents of the third generation of humans. They lived in the third of four world ages, a span of about 480,000 years; their own epoch lasted about 100,000 years (roughly 15 generations) according to the Right Ginza. This age comes after the Ram and Rud era and before the Noah era—the current fourth age begun by Noah and his wife Nuraita (also spelled Nhuraita). Sharhabeil is described as the "Great First Radiance" in Qulasta prayers 25 and 381.
