Shchuchansky District
Shchuchansky District is a district (raion) in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It lies in the western part of the oblast and covers 2,809 square kilometers. The administrative center is the town of Shchuchye. In the 2010 census, the district had 23,547 residents, with about 46.6% living in Shchuchye and 53.4% in rural areas. The district includes 1 town under its jurisdiction and 16 rural settlements (selsoviets), with a total of 53 rural localities. Municipally, it is the Shchuchansky Municipal District, consisting of 1 urban settlement and 16 rural settlements. The time zone is UTC+5 (MSK+2). Its coordinates are approximately 55.2167°N, 62.7667°E.
