Malfy Gin
Malfy Gin is an Italian gin bottled in Moncalieri and made by the Vergnano family at Torino Distillati. It is distributed by Pernod Ricard, which bought the brand in 2019. The gin was launched in the United States in March 2016 as Malfy Originale and Malfy Gin Con Limone, and it has since reached about 40 countries. Malfy was the first Italian gin imported into the US.
For Malfy Gin Con Limone, Amalfi Coast and Sicilian lemon peels are steeped in alcohol from Italian grain, then pressed and mixed with botanicals—juniper from Italian berries, coriander, cassia, licorice, grapefruit peel and orange peel—and distilled at a low temperature in a vacuum still. It is bottled at 41% ABV and has a lemony, limoncello-like flavor with a touch of bitterness and sweetness. Malfy Gin Originale blends Italian juniper with five botanicals and Italian winter wheat spirit, using Monviso water, and is also bottled at 41% ABV.
