Sergio Ortega (footballer, born 1988)
Sergio Alejandro Ortega Cantero (born 26 September 1988 in Itauguá, Paraguay) is a Paraguayan former footballer who played as a midfielder. He began in the Cerro Porteño youth system and started his professional career with 12 de Octubre (2004–2008), making 64 league appearances and scoring 12 goals. He then played abroad for Provincial Osorno in Chile (2008), Santiago Morning (Chile, 2008–2009), and later returned to South America with Sportivo San Lorenzo (Paraguay, 2010), Melgar in Peru (2011) and Alianza Unicachi (Peru, 2012). Ortega also represented Paraguay at under-17 level in 2005–2006. He is 1.72 meters tall.
