Sector G (Bulgarian: Сектор Г) is the North section of Balgarska Armia Stadium and is closely tied to CSKA Sofia’s ultras. It mainly supports CSKA Sofia, but fans also attend important games of CSKA’s volleyball, hockey and basketball teams. The section’s motto is “Sector G – that’s you!” and its colors are red and white. Sector G was founded in 1990. The most influential groups inside Sector G are Animals’ and Offenders. Some members have expressed nationalist or discriminatory views, which has caused controversy.

Sector G has friendly ties with supporters of Steaua București, Partizan Belgrade, CSKA Moscow, Rot-Weiss Erfurt, PAOK and Liverpool, and rivalries with Levski Sofia’s Sektor B and Lokomotiv Plovdiv’s Lauta Army.

CSKA Sofia has a long and popular history in Bulgarian football, with huge attendances in the 1980s, including around 70,000 spectators at European games against Liverpool and Bayern Munich in 1982 at Vasil Levski National Stadium.

In the late 2000s and early 2010s the club faced financial problems and licensing issues for European competition. After domestic success in 2007-08, CSKA lost its European license, and ownership changed hands. Ultras protested against the management, and a rival ultras group, Ofanziva, rose to prominence. Tensions continued through 2012-13 as the club faced more licensing uncertainty, and in 2013 the club was sold to the Red Champions Group after a period of protests and unrest.
